Neurodegenerative Diseases and Chronic Pain (NDCP)

The research aims to better understand pathomechanisms not only of various highly relevant brain disorders, such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, dementia including Alzheimer’s disease, but also chronic neurpopathic pain. The research aims to unravel molecular mechanisms from cells to humans, the development of biomarkers to assess disease progression, and the development of innovative treatments for patients, as well as personalized (including N=1 studies) management and care.
